When you’ve had one of those days when everyone around you is coming apart make sure you try a few, or all, of these tips to give yourself the love and appreciation you are missing.
Rest. Make sure you give yourself the luxury of getting ready for bed and making it a calming, quiet time. Consider putting down your phone and other distraction, although listening to a good book is one of my favorite night time endeavors. Sleep well. Wake up rested.
Plan. Plan for time for yourself be it for exercise or meditation or talking with a friend.
Eat well. Stay away from high carb foods that create sugar highs and achy bellies and may put on fat. Nuts and nut butters on celery are two of my favorites that satiate my cravings.
Grooming. It’s always a good time to take a warm shower, scrub your body, cut away those extra hairs. Nightly is nice when you share a bed with someone special.
Sex. Speaking of someone special seek out comfort from your partner. Life is so much better when we are held in love.
Love. Yes sex is one thing but love is everything. Share your love with others in precious and caring ways.
Be grateful. Look back in gratefulness. Be thankful for the good experiences that made life better and even bad experiences that taught you something. Gratitude is a muscle that needs to be exercised.
Get Sun. Vitamin D is now known to be almost like a hormone that drives your energy. Sunshine without burning is healthy. Wear your sunglasses in the heat of the day.
